Dark Vengeance Chaos Lord minifactorium
Dark Vengeance contains 48 miniatures, Dark Angels and the Chaos Space Marines of the Crimson Slaughter - all of which are snap-fit plastic models - this means that glue is optional. It contains enough miniatures to start a Dark Angels army, including: a Company Master armed with bolt pistol, power sword and combi-weapon; Librarian Turmiel, who carries a bolt pistol and force sword; Veteran.

The weapon load outs heavily favor the DA also as the chaos has very few answers to Terminator armor. Cultists have potential but not when fielded as squads of 10. *The chosen are a mess (more on this later). *Hellbrute kind of sucks as is( more later). *Chaos lord sucks with the straight out of the box load out. *Overall the Dark Angels are solid.

GW was pushing renegade chaos at that time; look in the 5th edition codex (vomit) and there's barely mention of the legions. Also, red and gold probably contrasted better with green white black and silver that the dark angels had. It was most likely a studio paint decision based on the other contents of the starter, the rulebook art, and the focus on renegades as opposed to legions.
